Welcome to RivalPit! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply when you visit rivalpit.com, play our games, create an account, or make a purchase. By using the site you agree to these Terms — if you do not agree with something here, please do not use the site. Questions are always welcome at support@rivalpit.com.

1. The service

RivalPit is a free website for playing classic games — Tic Tac Toe, SOS, Dots & Boxes, Color Clash, Ludo, Chess, Gomoku, Hangman, Rock Paper Scissors, and Snakes & Ladders — against the computer, against someone on the same device, or online against friends via challenge links. You can play most games as a guest without an account. An account adds statistics, points, friends, chat, and direct challenges.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase.
• Give us accurate information and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. Don't share, sell, or transfer your account.
• You can stop using RivalPit at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@rivalpit.com.

3. Points and virtual items

Points, win/loss statistics, ranks, and any other virtual items on RivalPit are promotional game features. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash or anything of value outside the site, and cannot be sold or transferred between users. We may adjust, reset, or remove points and statistics that were obtained through cheating, bugs, or abuse.

4. Purchases and premium features

Some optional features — for example, the 5 and 6 player Ludo boards — may be offered as a paid premium unlock. Prices and what is included are shown before you pay. Premium unlocks are licenses to use a feature on your account; they are not property and cannot be resold. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

5. Fair play

Online matches are refereed by our server, which validates every move. Don't use bots, scripts, automation, exploits, or multiple accounts to gain an advantage, farm points, or manipulate results. We may invalidate match results, remove points, or suspend accounts involved in cheating.

6. Acceptable use

• Be respectful in chat. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or spam.
• No illegal content or activity, and no impersonating other people.
• Don't attempt to disrupt the service, probe or overload our servers, scrape the site at scale, or access other users' accounts or data.
• Usernames must not be offensive or misleading; we may ask you to change one that is.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the messages you send. You give us the limited license we need to store, transmit, and display them so chat and friend features work. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Our content

The RivalPit name, logo, site design, artwork, and code are protected by intellectual-property law and belong to us or our licensors. The underlying classic game concepts (like tic tac toe or chess) belong to everyone — but our specific implementation and design may not be copied or reused without permission.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms, cheat, or put other users or the service at risk — with or without prior notice depending on severity. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. If your account is terminated for a serious violation, any premium unlocks may be forfeited; otherwise, see the Refund Policy.

10. Third-party services

Signing in with Google is subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy. If advertising is shown on the site, the ad provider's terms apply to the ads. We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from RivalPit.

11. Disclaimers

RivalPit is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep the site fast and online, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RivalPit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, points, or statistics. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The current version always lives at this page with its date at the top. For material changes we will post a notice on the site. Continuing to use RivalPit after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
