Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies and similar browser storage RivalPit uses and why. It goes together with our Privacy Policy. Questions: support@rivalpit.com.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between page loads — like the fact that you're logged in. Websites can also use localStorage, a similar browser feature for remembering settings on your device. We use both, sparingly.

Essential cookies and storage

These make the site work. They are always on, because logging in and rejoining games is impossible without them. They are never used to track you across other websites.

Third-party sign-in

If you use Continue with Google, Google's sign-in service runs on the login page and may set its own cookies under Google's control. This only happens when you interact with the Google button; see Google's privacy policy.

Advertising and analytics cookies (only with your consent)

To keep RivalPit free, we may show ads served by third-party partners such as Google AdSense. Ad partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to measure ad performance.

These cookies are off by default. Our consent banner asks before any advertising or analytics script is loaded — if you pick "Essential only", they are never loaded at all. If you accept and later change your mind, use the button below.

You can also opt out of personalized ads directly with Google at Google Ads Settings, or industry-wide at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and localStorage in its settings. Blocking essential cookies will break logging in and online matches — everything else about the site will still work.

Changes

If we add or change cookies — for example when advertising goes live — we will update this page and the date at the top.
