Mining Idle Empire drops you at the surface with nothing but a pickaxe and a Coal vein to chip away at. Every six veins you clear takes you one level deeper, and deeper ground yields better ore -- Copper, Iron, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and eventually Mythril. Hire drones like the Junior Miner and Excavator to keep chipping away automatically while you upgrade your pickaxe and refinery.
Push for Drone Efficiency once you own a few drones -- a percentage boost to every drone's output compounds a lot faster than upgrading your own pickaxe once you're relying on automatic mining.
How does ore quality change as I mine in Mining Idle Empire?
Ore tier is tied to depth, not luck -- clearing 6 veins takes you one level deeper, and each new depth band unlocks the next ore up the chain, from Coal toward rare Mythril.
What do drones do differently from my pickaxe?
Drones like the Mining Bot and Excavator chip away at the current vein automatically every second, stacking with your own pickaxe taps, so your depth keeps increasing even during idle ticks.
