Almost nobody agrees on who actually invented foosball: an Englishman named Harold Searles Thornton patented a swiveling-figure table in the UK in 1923, while a competing, largely unverified legend credits Spanish poet Alejandro Finisterre with building one in a hospital during the 1930s. RivalPit's Foosball skips the argument and the bulky table for something quicker: pick your lane, time the power meter, and try to beat the keeper.
Spreading your shots across different lanes works better than repeating the same one โ a keeper that just saved your last shot is already covering that lane.
Who actually invented foosball?
It's genuinely disputed. An English patent from 1923 (Harold Searles Thornton) is the earliest confirmed one, but competing legends from Spain and France claim independent invention in the following decade โ historians have never fully settled it.
How do you win a Foosball match on RivalPit?
First player to score 3 goals wins. You pick a lane and time a power meter for each shot rather than controlling rotating rod figures like a physical table.
Is a physical foosball table needed to play?
No table to squeeze into a garage, no missing player figures โ it's a free browser game you can play solo against the CPU or live against a friend.
