🔗 About Word Chain Royale

Word Chain Royale is a pass-and-play word duel for 2-4 players on RivalPit. Take turns typing real English words that chain together letter to letter, checked against a built-in dictionary of thousands of common English words, and try to be the last player still standing.

There's no timer -- Word Chain Royale is untimed, so you can take as long as you need to think of your next word. The pressure comes purely from the chain itself: as more words get used up, the pool of legal words that still fit gets smaller.

How to Play

  1. Each player starts the match with 3 lives.
  2. On your turn, type a real word of 3 or more letters that starts with the last letter of the word played before it.
  3. Every word can only be used once per match -- no repeats, even from earlier in the same chain.
  4. A wrong answer -- not a real word, wrong starting letter, too short, or already used -- costs you a life, but the chain keeps going to the next player with the same last word.
  5. Once only one player still has lives left, they win the match. Your longest-ever chain of correct words is saved on your device as your personal best.

Watch out for words that end in tricky letters like X, Q, or Z -- they can leave the next player stuck with almost nowhere to go.

If you're in a strong position, deliberately playing a word that ends in one of those weak letters can pressure the next player into a mistake -- offense matters as much as just not losing a life yourself.
