⛳ About Golf Rivals 3D

Golf Rivals 3D is a premium mini-golf duel on RivalPit. Slingshot-putt your way across raised, shaded pseudo-3D courses -- complete with sand traps, water hazards, rolling hills, and a rotating spinner obstacle -- over a 5-hole round that's procedurally generated and never repeats.

Each hole is built around its own distance-based par -- short holes are a par 2, mid-length holes a par 3, and the longest a par 4 -- and later holes in the round pack in more hazards than earlier ones, so the back half of a round is genuinely tougher than the front.

How to Play

  1. Aim and pull back to set your putt's direction and power, then release to shoot.
  2. The ball reacts to hills (rolling toward or away from the slope), sand (which slows it down dramatically compared to open grass), and the rotating spinner (which acts as a moving wall that can deflect your shot).
  3. Landing in water costs you a 1-stroke penalty and resets the ball back to the tee for that hole.
  4. Try to sink the ball in as few strokes as possible -- each hole has its own par based on how long it is, so beating par is the real goal, not just finishing.
  5. Play pass-and-play with up to 4 players -- lowest total strokes across all 5 holes in the round wins.
  6. Every course is freshly generated from a random seed, so you'll never play the exact same layout of holes, hazards, or the spinner's position twice.

Undershoot slightly on downhill putts -- gravity will carry the ball further than it looks, and overshooting past the cup on a slope is a common way to waste a stroke.

Sand kills your ball's speed far more than grass does, so a putt that would normally roll all the way to the cup can die well short if it clips a trap -- aim to land just past sand, not right at its edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Golf Rivals 3D free to play?

Yes. Golf Rivals 3D is completely free to play in your browser at rivalpit.com/golfrivals3d/, no download, install, or account required.

How many players can play Golf Rivals 3D?

Golf Rivals 3D supports 1 to 4 players in pass-and-play mode on one device.

Are the courses really different every time?

Yes. Every round generates a brand new course layout from a random seed -- hazards, hills, and obstacle placement all change, so courses never repeat.

What happens if my ball lands in the water?

You take a 1-stroke penalty and the ball is placed back on the tee for that hole -- the same as real mini-golf water hazard rules.

How is par decided for each hole?

Par scales with the hole's distance from tee to cup: shorter holes are a par 2, medium holes a par 3, and the longest holes in a round are a par 4.
